Our Mission

Helping Families Find the Support They've Earned

Care and Benefits Guide is a free consumer resource dedicated to helping individuals and families across all 50 states discover and access state-funded programs they may qualify for.

Why We Exist

Millions of Americans are eligible for state-funded programs — home care, paid caregiver compensation, housing assistance, food support, and more — but never apply because they don't know these programs exist or don't know how to access them.

The information is out there, but it's scattered across dozens of state agency websites, buried in policy documents, and written in language that's hard to understand. We built Care and Benefits Guide to change that.

Our goal is simple: make it easy for anyone to find out what programs may be available in their state, understand whether they might qualify, and take a first step toward getting help.

How We Work

We're a consumer resource, not a government agency. Here's what that means in practice.

01

We Research Programs

Our team monitors state Medicaid programs, HCBS waivers, and community-based services across all 50 states to keep our information current and accurate.

02

We Simplify the Information

We translate program rules, eligibility criteria, and application processes into plain, easy-to-understand language — no jargon, no legalese.

03

We Connect You with Resources

When you complete our eligibility check, your information may be shared with a participating provider or program specialist who can help you take the next step.

Our Values

These principles guide every decision we make about how we build and operate this resource.

Clarity Over Complexity

Government benefit programs can be confusing and hard to navigate. We translate complex eligibility rules into plain language so anyone can understand what may be available to them.

People First

Behind every search is a real person — a family caregiver, a senior trying to stay independent, or someone facing a difficult time. We treat every visitor with dignity and respect.

Honest & Transparent

We are not a government agency and we never pretend to be. We are upfront about what we are, how we work, and what we can and cannot do for the people who visit our site.

Accessible to Everyone

Our resource is free to use, requires no account, and is designed to be easy to navigate on any device — whether you're on a phone in a waiting room or a computer at home.
